Mirko Leuzzi was born in Rome in March 1992. During his university years he became familiar with a very personal vision of the world which led him to abandon his studies in Literature and Philosophy to dedicate himself to something different.

He began traveling in an attempt to understand his own creative need until, almost by chance, in 2020 he was given his first canvas and a few colors by a friend. Since that day he has not stopped painting and the first lockdown allows him to become familiar with this new language, because for Leuzzi painting becomes the only means capable of expressing his vision of the world. His first research leads him to investigate the whole range of feelings that derives from relationships and the failure of these and the expectations created.

The very first works, perhaps the most intimate and personal, are exhibited for the first time in the Officine Privitera, an artisan workshop that works iron where the canvases find an almost natural placement. It’s February 2021, the Precarious Exhibition IN THE CAVE curated by Paola Aloisio lasts only a few hours, like a performance. In May of the same year he inaugurated his first solo show, ABBI CURA DI TE, again curated by Paola Aloisio, in the B-Art gallery, a stone’s throw from Piazza San Cosimato.
